Baseball, Softball reign supreme in the CAA

For the second consecutive year, the Black Tigers upended the Blue Tigers for the Arizona Charter Athletic Association baseball state championship. In an instant classic, the Black Tigers outlasted Blue 3-2 in 10 innings Saturday at Southside Park. It is the third straight year KAHS has won the CAA baseball championship.

The seniors on the Lady Tiger softball team accomplished a rare feat when they beat Heritage 13-6 Saturday at Phoenix College. Alyssa Holloway, Ashley Judd, Miranda Ramirez, Savannah Searles and Megan Woods leave KAHS with four CAA softball state championships.
